To enroll in group Lessons, we may require an in-water evaluation to ensure correct level placement and safety.
Swordfish & Marlin
5 - 12 years
Swordfish continue to hone the skills introduced at the previous levels. Refinement of arm angle/entry for freestyle, and a comprehensive understanding of a proper side breath are two major points of emphasis for the Swordfish level. In addition, Swordfish will learn an introduction to Backstroke arms. Finally, Swordfish is the first level that endurance becomes a focal point of the lesson. They will swim diagonally for the majority of the lesson, as every level following this will swim the length of our pool.
The Swordfish level promotes to the Marlin level
The Marlin level continues to refine Freestyle and Backstroke. We expect our Marlins to maintain proper form on each of these strokes for the length of our 25yd pool. In addition, Marlins will learn an introduction to proper Breaststroke kicks, something we expand upon in future levels. Finally, basic dives will be introduced at this level.

Barracuda, Flying Fish, Sailfish & Advanced Strokes
5 - 12 years
For advanced and experienced swimmers, we offer a series of three levels to build endurance and refine skills.
The Barracuda level expands upon the concepts introduced at the Marlin level. Barracudas will look to execute an advanced Freestyle and Backstroke, for a minimum of 1 length of our pool (25yds). Barracudas will also utilize kickboards, with the goal of strengthening their kicks for greater distance potential. Finally, Barracudas will swim one length (25yds) of our pool with kickboard-assisted Breaststroke kicks.
The Barracuda level promotes to the Flying Fish level
At the Flying Fish level, distances swam increases greatly. Flying Fish are expected to demonstrate an advanced Freestyle and Backstroke, for a minimum of 2 lengths of our pool (50yds total). Swimmers at this level are introduced to Freestyle flip-turns, as well as Breaststroke arms. Flying Fish will be able to execute proper Breast Stroke for one length of our pool (25yds).
The Flying Fish level promotes to the Sailfish level
Sailfish are introduced to bilateral breathing, Backstroke flip-turns, and learn the Butterfly stroke. Sailfish work to fine-tune all four strokes. Each class, Sailfish swim a minimum of: 100 yards freestyle, 100 yards backstroke, 50 yards breaststroke and 25 yards butterfly
The Sailfish level promotes to the Advanced Strokes level
In our final level, Advanced Strokes, swimmers will be coached to whatever strokes/skills the students need. Advanced Strokes swimmers look to continually pursue mastery in all aspects of swimming and will be expected to complete a 400 IM, prior to graduation of our program.

Swim Team Prep & Enhancement
Prep Lessons
Our Swim Team Prep Class and Clinics are for swimmers of varying levels who do not know all four strokes, but are interested in trying out for summer swim team. Swimmers will be grouped according to ability and will work on freestyle, backstroke, racing dives, and flip turns. The goal of swim team prep is to prepare swimmers for recreational swim teams.
Enhancement Lessons
Swim Team Enhancement (STE) is for swimmers who know all four strokes and are either on a swim team or are interested in trying out for a swim team. Swimmers will build endurance while fine-tuning strokes, dives, and flip turns. Students must have completed our Sailfish or Strokes levels, or be evaluated by our Aquatics Director to be eligible to enroll in STE.
