Colorado Swim School provides beginner swim lessons and intermediate swimmers appropriate swim classes based on age and ability. We teach each child with a gentle and encouraging approach and recognize that every child is different and has different needs. Our goal is to challenge your beginner swimmer or intermediate swimmer to learning to swim with lessons that are designed to fit your child’s skill level. Dolphin: Beginner level

Ages 5 and older

Goals:

Comfort in the water, breath control, glides- proper prone positioning, stream line kicks, introduction to freestyle arms, learning side breathing, backstroke kicks with barbell, and retrieves rings from floor of pool.


Stingray

Ages 5 and older

Goals:

Glides- proper prone positioning, quick/shallow freestyle kicks, freestyle arms and side breathing with a barbell, forearms out of the water, assisted side breathing, combined freestyle arms with assisted breath without a barbell, backstroke kicks with barbel.


Swordfish

Ages 3 and older

Goals:

Quick/shallow freestyle kicks, four freestyle arms out of the water, independent side breathing, swim width of pool (30 feet) independently with proper side breathing, backstroke kicks, backstroke arms, rhythmic backstroke width of pool (30 feet), shallow dives.
