Colorado Swim School provides beginner swim lessons and intermediate swimmers appropriate swim classes based on age and ability. We teach each child with a gentle and encouraging approach and recognize that every child is different and has different needs. Our goal is to challenge your beginner swimmer or intermediate swimmer to learning to swim with lessons that are designed to fit your child’s skill level. Guppy: Beginner level

Ages 2 ½ -5 years

Goals:

Comfort in the water, put their face in the water, breath control (blow bubbles), glides, kicks with barbells, introduce row-row arms, assisted back float, rolls over, turn and climb out of pool, retrieves rings  from floor of pool.


Clown Fish

Ages 2 ½ -5 years

Goals:

Glides, breath control-bubbles, keep face in water while swimming, kicks independently, row- row arms, back float independently, turn back to front & front to back while swimming width of the pool, turn and climb out of pool, swim width of pool independently.


Seahorse

Ages 2 ½-3½  years

Goals:

Glides-proper body position, kicks independently, straight leg kicks, big row, row arms, floating breath- 1 arm stretched, maintain proper body position while taking a breath, swim width of pool independently. Enrollment in this level is by instructor promotion only.


Seal

Ages 2 ½ and older

Goals:

Glides- proper prone positioning, kicks independently, quick/ shallow freestyle kicks, four big arms out of the water, introduction to side breathing, big arms and side breathing with barbell (width of pool),  backstroke kicks, big arms and floating breath without barbell (width of pool).
